Creative writing is the thoughtful issue of the soul’s mind; reflective, sensitive, and caring. Often the reference point in his writings, children hold a special place for their innocence and natural inclinations, the mark of opportunity that bears the promise in the future, and not the artifice and beguilement in adults. The idea that a house might take on a human guise, warm and welcoming by this anthropomorphizing, is the simple exchange in our desire for such a home as we prepare it for ourselves and our children, giving life to inanimate objects. The notion is at once childlike and adult for the imagination they share. Perhaps, if our homes were prepared as we might use them—children and adults—and not for others to see, our sense of neighborhood might rebuild.
